Edit Your Blog Settings

Let me notify you about another new and useful feature. It’s been born out of necessity since I had to be able to adjust some blog settings before launching the LJ Podcast. But this feature is going to be useful to anybody who wants to customize and improve own LJ blog.

To edit your blog settings just click on the following link that appears on your main blog page:

... on the next page you can edit following settings of your blog:

• Title – you can give your blog cool title instead of the default one that is in the “Your Name’s Blog” format. For example Frank has already renamed his blog to RusticWoodArt. Use your imagination to make your blog one of a kind.
• Short description – here you can enter short description/overview of your blog that will be displayed in your blog’s sidebar. Let your readers know which topics you plan to cover on a frequent basis etc.
• Custom RSS feed URL – if you’re an advanced blogger then you may consider enhancing your blog’s RSS feed with the service like Feedburner (burn your feed). This will simplify the subscription process to your readers plus it will give you cool stats about your blog’s subscribers (you can learn more on the Feedburner site). The important thing is that if you use this service it will provide you with the custom RSS feed URL which you need to type in here.
