I know, I know.. the pulse is an excellent way to keep track of the new posts on the LumberJocks. But I’m sure that you’d like to take it easy sometimes and just relax by browsing random projects, blog entries or forum topics. Now this is possible with our cool new LumberJocks Shuffle. And it even helps you to uncover those hidden gems that you may have missed in the past!
30 random projects, 10 random blog entries and 10 random forum topics will be presented to you each time you visit the Shuffle page. Plus you can reshuffle any of them directly on the page to get new random set.
This upgrade also comes with new “control panel” located in the header. Former Who’s Online, Feel the Pulse and Search the Site links are now combined together with the Shuffle button into one handy panel:

Go ahead and check what the LumberJocks Shuffle will find for you. Enjoy ;)

Thanks Martin.
I think its a great feature. I noticed it this morning, & checked it out. It’s amazing how many things that came up that I’d missed.
I was looking for a place to make a comment, but couldn’t find it earlier. I went, & read the morning paper, logged back on, & found your announcement.

ooohh, now if only I could download these to my ipod and check em out on the road, in shuffle mode! ;)
This is great! There was so much great stuff we missed in the early days, and some things that are great to see again with fresh eyes.

Way to go Martin. The site just keeps improving each week.
There is an interesting idea Scott, downloading to ipod and mobile browsers. Sounds like we need LJTV and podcasting soon. How can you make the updates downloadable to an Ipod? Isn’t that usually audio and video and not text? (Can tell I do not have an Ipod huh?).

Martin very Nice. I’d like an addition to the selection button om pulse. To have one for Buddies, that way we can keep track of our buddies better.
Sorry about that I was looking in Type and not in one of the other filters. But at least I tried.

Martin, this is GREAT! I’ve spent my lunch hour reading and browsing the offerings from the shuffler.
I particularly enjoyed an old post about Constructive Criticism that I think Ethan started. It provided me with some good perspective and was thought provoking as well. Thanks for this new tool.

Martin,
After looking through the first two pages of Pulse, and seeing new comments on projects that were posted in October of last year, I suddenly realized why. People have been seeing projects and blogs they never knew were there. In short, the Shuffle works.
Oh, and thanks, Jeff! I’m particularly fond of that blog entry… ;)
