Heeey, this is major news and major new feature. Seems a lot of you enjoy all 3 of our sites so to simplify the registration/login process I decided to migrate separated account databases to one merged and centralized account database.
Now, this centralized account grants you access to all three websites in our network:
You can see following graphic when you visit sign-in or sign-up pages on these sites. Think of it as your unique network passport/ID:
The obvious benefit is that now you can use your LumberJocks account information (email, password) to login to HomeRefurbers as well as to GardenTenders. No need to create new separate account and keep track of it.
There are around 40 conflicting email-nickname combinations after merging all three account databases. LumberJocks had the highest priority. I’m going to contact all 40 members and offer resolution… still much better than doing this change 3-4 years later ;)
I already have some cool ideas for our central accounts, ex. adding those long overdue birthday and location information (both optional of course). Good thing is that once set, this information will be instantly available on all 3 sites. Also, I’d like to offer OpenID authentication to those who’d like to use it.
So if you were hesitating entering HomeRefurbers or GardenTenders websites because of yet another account creation, it’s time to login, post a project or just say hi there as well.

I too was wondering what kind of scam was going on…. Got a welcome to LJ’s after 310 days. I guess my memory is better than I thought, got signed back in in one try…. LOL !
