As Debbie has already noted I’ve added new Stores page dedicated to promoting our apparel collection and the offers from two other partner stores – Rockler and Amazon. You can find the yellow link in the main toolbar.

The important thing is that when you decide to follow any of the offers on that page and actually buy something you will also support LumberJocks. For example Rockler is paying 10% commission to me for each sale made through our site. Hopefully this will result in some steady income down the road to cover my growing expenses ;) Writing about expenses – I decided for another upgrade of the computer resources today – especially memory since it has been becoming evident bottleneck during the traffic spikes recently. We need more power thanks to increasing popularity – not too bad ;)

Back to Stores page.. I tried to concentrate all of the offers on one page instead of polluting all of the pages with some flashy banners. That means I don’t want to distract you from reading, posting and enjoying all of the gems posted on LJ each day. Hope this format will work.

And I’d like to thank Mark for giving me the permission to have him as the proud model on the Apparel store banner. As you can see I’m always trying to feature our real LumberJocks on the site so don’t hesitate to post your photos.. and maybe next time you will find yourself as the proud model too ;)

Enough reading.. find some bargains and go shopping..

P.S. I almost forgot to mention new Daily Deals box in the footer. It features daily deals from Rockler. Maybe you will find it useful someday.

Excellent… just in time! I’ve just started to notice the bottlenecks.

Noticed the store right away. Looks good, not to flashy. A nice fit to the site.

I just joined today and was wondering if it was just my old computer making things go so slow and just plain stopping! Kudos on the server upgrade!

Thanks for all the hard work. You have made many changes just in the week that I have been on board, and they have directly affected me. I buy from Rockler quite frequently and I will help support the site when I purchase.

I have been plugging the site locally in Billings, maybe you will start seeing more traffic from here, producing more sales and more income. $ChaChing$

Just a note up till 37 days ago Martin ran the whole site out of his own pocket with no ads so we know this place was created for something greater than just $...One more reason we tend to be pretty loyal around here.

Thanks Martin
I was having trouble finding LJ store the other day, now it’s right on top.
I frequently buy from Rockler also, now they’re just one click away.

Great job Martin. I have not noticed any bottlenecks, but nice to know the site is able to grow to handle it.

I like the new store page and ads at the bottom of the pages.

I have my own Rockler Afilliate link, but they don’t sell the one thing I want most, but can’t justify spending what little money I have on it… A LUMBERJOCK TEE
