We are proud of the projects that you, our members, share with us here at LumberJocks.com and we are always thinking of ways to recognize and showcase them with the rest of the world!

We currently have a “Daily Top 15” on our homepage and now we will be posting an “Editor’s Choice” on LumberJocks as well as on the following two social media sites: Facebook and Pinterest.

The projects will be selected by Debbie and myself and posted throughout the week. The goal is “on a daily basis”. Sometimes circumstances make this a challenge but we will do our best.

Thanks to everyone for sharing their amazing woodworking projects and to everyone who helps by forwarding the “Editor’s Choice” links on their own social media pages.

BTW. here are the LJ pages on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/LumberJocksCom and on Pinterest: https://pinterest.com/lumberjocks.

And this is the first project that was selected as Editor’s Choice yesterday:

Congrats Clint!

Notice, that clicking on the EDITOR’S CHOICE badge on the project’s page will take you to the complete list of projects selected as Editor’s Choice. This list will obviously keep growing :)

Enjoy!

Martin,

Is it possible to have some form of opting-out of such an arrangement? I would like to NOT have anything of mine posted on places such as FB. and I know of others that share the same thoughts.

Thank you.
S.

Martin, that’s a neat idea. Might I suggest that it be a weekly thing rather than daily? It would seem to be a better fit since the Top 15 already has the ‘daily’ theme to it. And the LJ Mag has the ‘monthly’ showcase of particular projects in it. Something in between(weekly) seems like a better fit and it would take some of the load of another daily task off your shoulders. Just my 2c worth.

Hmm… Looking at that FB link, it seems that every top 3 project is already being posted there.

PurpLev, you can opt-out from the Editor’s Choice email notification for now (MY LUMBERJOCKS → MY HOME → EDIT EMAIL NOTIFICATIONS) and I will respect your choice.

Thanks Martin,

I have unchecked that option. Does this mean that I do not participate in the ‘editor’s choice’ feature (this is what I would like it to mean), or that I still could be selected but simply won’t get notified about it?

Sharon.

P.S. I would PM this, but believe this may be of value to others to keep in the public domain.
