I have another great news for all LumberJocks. Today I was contacted by the Marketing Manager of Fine Woodworking Magazine. They decided to offer a free one year subscription to their great magazine for both category winners.

Fine Woodworking

So that’s it – the prize table just got bigger again and I accept no excuses for not submitting your projects into the contest ;)

Note that I will update the Prizes section on the Awards pages tomorrow.

Hey Martin.
Congratulations, I think it’s an honor, and a feather in your cap to have Fine Woodworking recognize this forum. I think FW is one of the premium, or maybe the top rated woodworking magazines out there.

I think the winners wont need the magazine as much as the runner up … or maybe third place. Give the magazine to the ones who need it most… Like me. HAHAHAHA!!!!

That’s right Obi… Back in High School I got a book about taking better pictures along with my first prize award in some photo contest. That does seem unfair and backwards, no?

Actually, I would be surprised if a number of suppliers to the woodworking fraternity wouldn’t be please to do a little co-operative “you scratch my back, I’ll scratch your” type advertising by sponsoring this contest.

Most of my comments are made in jest and in the spirit of fun. I’m just happy to be here and have the opportunity to share my work with others, and see Finely Crafted work from others. If I start winning at anything, I’ll probably go into shock.

Have your say...
