I’m finally finding some time to work on updates and new features instead of spending most of it on support and maintenance issues. There were some small updates here at LumberJocks in the recent days and more are coming soon. I will write about them in a separate post later. Now I’d like you to become familiar with the restructured and much extended HomeRefurbers Forums:

  • Interior Home Improvement
Are you making structural changes to the interior of your home? Whether it is for your basement, kitchen, flooring, windows or even some little crawl space, post your ideas and questions here.
  • Exterior Home Improvement
Decks, foundations, fences, roofs… well you get the picture. If you’re making structural changes to the exterior of your home then this is the place to discuss your plans and ask your questions.
  • Home Decorating & Design
This forum is for the artist in you – or for the artistry gene that you may be lacking! Let’s talk decor, from furniture layout, to blinds, to faux finishes, to mirrors, to fabric and more! If you have the vision and/or are lacking the how-to, we’d love to hear what is in the plans for your home.
  • Home Building & Construction
Are you building a house from the ground up? How exciting. Maybe you have some lessons to share with us or questions to ask other home builders prior to “reinventing the wheel”, as they say. Pull up a chair and let’s talk home building!
  • Heating, Ventilating, Air Conditioning (HVAC) & Water Conditioning
What’s a home without good heating, clean air, and pure water? Share you expertise and your questions here at this forum.
  • Electrical, Wiring & Electronics
Oh yah, now we’re talking. Let’s get this house a-humming! Light up the forum discussions with electrical talk.
  • Home Appliances
Do you have tips or questions on buying and caring for those treasured household appliances? We’d love to hear them!
  • Going Green
Share your strategies, concerns and questions about reducing, reusing, recycling – and going green when it comes to decorating, heating, conserving and other “green” topics. Together we will have a huge impact on preserving the health of our planet and our family members.
  • Tools, Hardware & Accessories
Not sure what the right tool is for the job? This forum is the place to discuss tools and other resources available to get the job done right.
  • Trade & Swap
Are you holding onto treasures in your home that you either don’t need, don’t want, or could part with if presented with a cool trade item? If you have something that you think someone else would enjoy having, list it here and see who wants to Swap! All trades, exchanges, warranties, and shipping, are considered “on-your-own.” Have fun.
  • Sweating for Bucks
Do you or are you thinking about renovating homes for a living? This forum is the place to seek and share advice on the business side of things.
  • Break Time
Pull up a chair, grab a beverage and share some neighbourly conversations about life, philosophy, humorous stories, and whatever else tickles your fancy as we get to know each other better.
  • HomeRefurbers.com Site Feedback
Connect with the Website Gurus and tell us what you are thinking, post suggestions, problems, functionality issues, and so forth. We want to help you make this the best and widest used Home Community Site available.

I hope this new HR Forums layout will encourage you to visit HR daily and post more often. Have fun!

P.S. Thanks Debbie for cool forum descriptions ;)

Very nice – and since I sell appliance for a living, I’ll have to check that section out and add a comment or two

I should get back to my bathroom reno blog…maybe I should get back to my bathroom reno first LOL!

These changes sound pretty good.
