Marc mentioned our LumberJocks site as well as our Winter Awards in his latest video podcast episode: Episode 7- “A Cut Above”. Thanks Marc!

In this episode Marc is showing two of the most popular ways to finish cutting boards. He goes over a few finishes to avoid and reviews the care and maintenance required for an end-grain cutting board.

The Wood Whisperer

I enjoyed this video and am sure you will enjoy it too.
Keep up great work, Marc!

Hi Martin;
Just finished watching that podcast and yes mineral oil, for being food safe is cheaper then buying that ‘other’ which//what happens when a company puts their name on it. I’ve also used olive oil and don’t mention that to my wife as there are times when the gallon seems to go very fast.

Also, nice plug for LumberJocks!

Have a great day!!!
GODSPEED,
Frank

What a great episode… When my wife hears laughter (and that great guitar riff – is that an original piece?) coming from the computer room, she knows I’m listening to my favorite pod caster, TheWoodWhisperer.

Marc has such a great presence in front of the camera. His humor is absolutely in sync with mine (scary). And I almost always learn a good lesson or tip from each pod cast he does!

My only problem with his pod casts is the painted prop he uses for his backdrop when filming. Like we’re supposed to believe someone actually keeps their shop that clean! :)

(Ok, so maybe I’m just jealous…)

Great Shows…
So far I’ve watched 3 episodes. And Ethan, I was just jealous because of the amount of space he has. I’m working with almost as many tools in 1/3rd of a 2 car garage. No cars, but it’s my brother-in-laws and he stores useless stuff in there like food for the hungry.
O.K. What I need this year is a 2-car garage of my own.

Have your say...
