And I thought there were only few bloggers in the woodworking community…
Thank you for proving me wrong, fellow LumberJocks! YES, LumberJocks are the best woodworking bloggers online. And it seems like reaching 1.000 blog entries is just the beginning since many of you are already testing the waters with the videos.. how cool. Sharing and learning are two cornerstones of this community and that’s what blogging is all about. So keep posting and reading ;)
I’ve decided to reward two great bloggers with the LJ shirt – Frank for posting the highest number of entries so far and Dusty for the longest series.
Next goal – 10,000 blog entries…

Hello Martin;
—-and everyone here at LJ for it is all of you who have made this possible!!!
This is in-deed an honor and at the same time a great quest. I just finished reading my first blog entry here at LJ: http://lumberjocks.com/jocks/frank/blog/27 and thought I would pass on a quote I had made back then; “The love of wood as seen with the eye, felt with the heart and touched by the hand is the passion of dreamers, who have lived in the chaotic beauty of the forests, only to pass on to future generations this love.” —-flp
Much has happened since back then, and LJ is growing by leaps and bounds, while bloggers and video enthusiast’s are coming out of the woodwork and making this a place where ‘workers of wood’ can come together and be a part of a sharing and caring community.
I also give thanks to you Martin for having the foresight to make this all possible. As I tell folks, I found this sight one evening while goggling ‘free form wood sculpture’ and I had a hit for a project by Roger: http://lumberjocks.com/projects/28 called Freeform Sculpture. This work of art grabbed my attention and then I was overwhelmed with the enthusiasm I found on this site here at LJ. The rest is history, but I want to thank you all for the welcome that you gave me here and for the kindness and enthusiasm that you all continue to show me.
And as I have said before, so I will say again….LumberJocks rocks!!!
NOW lets get back to the shop and curl some wood chips!!!
Thank you.
GODSPEED,
Frank
—-in thinking about this also in retrospect, I also tip my hat to Dusty and must say that here is a blogger who has the habit of telling one good continuous and ongoing story, that is full of ‘very good’ insights into his life! Dusty you are a great writer and blogger and I’m thankful we can share in this award-of-a-reward together. Great knowing you Dusty!

Congrats guys! And kudos to Martin for a great site with a noticeable absence of some of the knuckleheads that detract from ventures like this.
Cheers to you all!

Martin and Fellow Lumberjacks,
Having just returned from a extended trip tending to the needs of my elderly parents I was honored and touched to have been chosen for this honor.
I read the message and announcement from Martin, I remember thinking there surely has been a mistake.
I re-read the message.
Three times.
I remember thinking this can’t be, there are so many other Lumberjocks who are so much more qualified and talented who deserve this honor more than I do. They have contributed so much to this great web site.
I am not, nor have I ever been a writer.
I have simply tried to share my journey.
At the end of every chapter and every time I have hit “post this entry” I have thought to my self…My goodness my writing has fallen so short , and is completely inadequate. No one is going to read this dribble and surely this will be my last chapter.
I then read, study, and think about each and every comment along with every message I get. I find them inspiring and the fuel to write another chapter.
With out all of your support and encouragement, along with your comments and continued reading of my blog, it would be nothing more than a bunch of words.
You bring these typed words and story to life.
I’m humbled.
I ‘m touched.
Thank you some how seems so inadequate.
I realize this, however, it is all I have to offer you,
You can be sure it comes from the depths of my heart.

Frank,
You truly deserve the reconagition you are getting.
You, and your writings are so deserving.
Your not only a gifted writer, you an artist and poet of the written word.
You wrote the first comment to my first blog.
I have never forgot it.
I have told you how inspireing you are and how much I admire you and what your write.
I will never be able to hope to even come close to being the gifted writer you are.
That is the best part. I then can just take in your written poetry, admire it and savor every word.
Thank you.
Blog on Frank, blog on we need you.
