Green because that’s in and could be challenging. 2×4 because I’m new to this and wouldn’t mind something simple to get started.

1- 2X4 and Wood Joinery because this would be within reason for someone that is on a limited budget.

Hi,
I was wondering if everyone is using the official ballot that Martin set up for this?

Dick, Yes,
Rob, just the one (96”) – unless you can pick up a 100’ 2x at your Home Depot ;)

I knew it was just one, I was asking about the length and at the Texas Home Depot you can get the 2”X4”X100’. It’s for our wide open spaces, ha!!!!

2×4, and Garden
The stats look strange. Are they supposed to add to 100%?

looks like each option is a percentage of the total, seperately. Odd that.

Wayne, they will not add to 100% because I’ve enabled multiple choices option. I’d like everybody to pick 2 favorite ones.
Thanks for voting, it’s an exciting race ;)

I picked omething with drawers and opposite woods. But I might have been one of the early people to suggest 2×4 I’m comfortable with that choice.
I guess if 2 X 4 is one of the winners we would have to design the rules to interperite other items that might be used. Biscuts, dowells, accent pieces of wood, wheels, etc.

It looks like we need more votes. So far there are only 38 votes. The garden project is leading with 39%, closely followed by single 2×4 at 34% and wood joinery at 32%.

I’m already spinning ideas for some categories, though with the categories not yet decided, that’s a dangerous thing.

I’m thinking about making a 2’ X 4’ Garden in my backyard.
That’s about all the room I have, & I can’t afford anymore seeds than that.

Garden projects seem to be a popular theme, since the nice weather is on its way. So far, 2×4 is barely ahead of wood joinery.

—-ha!!!....my place is filled up and over-flowing this time of year with garden projects, every where I go I see garden projects. Outside at garden side my wife says ”honey do….”; in the woods the trees say ”will you please….” and then in the fields the brush says ”can you please….”, so much so that the only place I can go to get away from projected garden projects is in my barn of a work shop and there my machines speak a different language, such as….”can you please do some work and maintenance me?”
It’s time I go and curl some chips of wood….

I can’t find the “vote” button, so here is my vote:
GREEN—Great for barnwood
GARDEN PROJECT—Plenty to do, here!
Anyway, it will be fun to see what everyone does. I may even pick up an idea or trick along the way!
I am still working on my Thorson table…LOL

looks like the voting time is now over and the results are in….
38% Wood Joinery
33% Garden Project and 33% 2×4
So now we just need to figure out how to break the tie (perhaps Hawg’s vote could be counted) and then the details for what the expectations are, for each category.

—-well, I’m glad to see ‘wood joinery in there as number one!
....and….’garden projects’, well as I was saying, they’re all around me
....and….well I will have to think about 2×4’s since I never use them, all mine are 3×4’s from the sawmill, hmmm….guess I’ll have to cut them down to 2×4’s….!
Anyways, time to get started on thinking about summer….
