I got a NEW lathe! So now I can turn longer shafts for canes and other things. Really pleased with it. Here is a cane I’m doing as a commission, with an antler handle and a lot of carving on the shaft. The designs are based on leatherworking patterns and will cover most of the cane. May end up having to keep it! I am working on a design for another lizard cane, a lady here in Arkansas may want a couple of canes, and a gentleman in Canada has contacted me about a Santa staff. Hopefully, some of these will turn into sales! And, I’ll be attending a couple of carving seminars this month. Busy, Busy!

The carving looks to be very well done. I like the overall ‘soft’ leather effect.

-- I just got done cutting three boards and all four of them were too short. (true story)

Grizz, just PM me your address and tell me how tall you want it! No telling what you might get, if you can wait a bit!
