I am 60 yrs old and retired - live in rural Norfolk England and woodworking is my Main Hobby although I do Paint in Acrylics when i can drag myself away from the workshop.
I moved into an lovely old converted brick and flint barn after returning from Tasmania where we tried early retirement but missed the English countryside so much that we came home.
I spent the first few months building the most important building on the property.
The Workshop!! its approx 55ft by 16ft wide nice and dry and light.
since then my main prjects have been to build a conservatory and a kitchen. I seem to like the big joinery type projects more than making furniture, probably because it takes a bit less skill than a fine piece of furniture!

Hello Mike,
Let me welcome to LJs. I am sure that you will find being a member of this group to be both a rewarding and an inspirational part of your woodworking adventure.
-- With God's help all things are possible- even woodworking. Woodworking is not just a hobby, it is an (expletive deleted) expensive hobby.
