I have been trying to figure out how to grove the bottom of drawers for the panel using hand tools. The problem is that I don’t have a plow plane and from what I have read the good ones cost a fortune. Fortunatly I came across a dedicated wooden plane that Rob Cossman sells for this very use. I decided to make my own and here is my first attempt. I built the plane by laminating white cedar I had laying around (not the best choice I know).
If you are wondering that is my 1/4” chisel in there. It took some fooling around but it eventually made some pretty decent shavings.
