Thanks all,

I am only very very new to woodworking ( i love wood but never really thought about actually doing it).

Can anyone guide me on the first hand tools to buy? I would love to make a european style workbench as my first project, is this too ambitious?

thanks

Mark

I have built a workbench…not a grand one yet but enough to get started. I have built 2 end grain breadboards and am now working on a Ply router table (plans from woodsmith magazine).

Collecting hand tools as well and have a set of chisels, a few old hand saws, 5 older Bailey hand planes and other bits and pieces. Once the router table is built I would like to start lookiing to build a bookcase for starters.
I will have to get around to posting some pics soon.
