So I decided to create a new blog for talking about ongoing additions to my attempt at a workshop. My posts on my current project, Jakes chair, has seemed to be talking a lot about the workshop situation.

I’m planning on doing more and more to my shed to make it a work space over time, and another blog contributes to the LJ site I think. I really like this site and want to contribute even though I am a really novice woodworker, and don’t dedicate a ton of time to it as of now.

So newest baby step… Shelf! :)

I’m pretty sure this was a shelf my dad built years ago. One of the few things I don’t plan on throwing out of this shed. No one has used it for anything but junk storage in a loooong time so I’ve got a lot of cleaning to do. It’s over run with spider webs and rat droppings. And stinks. I need to cut lots of wood to get the smell out.

Till next time, if you checked this out, thanks for reading :)

Good luck with the jake chair and work shop, I’ve recently built the jake chair and loved it and have recently sold it and I’m working on nyws chair currently. I wish I had a shed to work out of, I’m currently working out of a spare bedroom. If you have any questions with your jake chair I would be glad to help

Hi Tim,

Thanks! Things are coming little by little. Your chair looks great! I have a couple questions off the top of my head…
Did you use wood glue AND screws, or just screws?
What kind of wood did you use?
And I’m curious what it cost you to build, and what you sold it for, if you dont mind me asking.

I’m about to post a new entry on the chair, thanks for the comment and reading.
