Location: Blue Ridge GA

Artisan Family run sawmill and woodshop
We rescue dead and storm damaged trees. We then carefully saw them into live edged flitch slabs. Care is taken to keep each logs lumber together for book matching later. Our lumber is then sticked and air dried for one year. After the wood is air dried we then place it into our wood drying kiln. The kiln process finishes the drying process at high temperatures and ask heat treats the lumber to kill the insects which are common in rough sawn lumber. Trust me you don't want lumber that has not been kiln dried.
Okay after the lumber is dry it is stored on our warehouse
Clients are welcome to purchase the rough sawn lumber or we can custom build and finish it for you.
Projects include
Log Fireplace Mantels
Fireplace surrounds
Kitchen Islands
Vanity Tops
Swinging Beds
Stair Treads
Porch posts
Stair Rails / Banisters
Restaurant Tables
Restaurant Bartops
Species of Wood Available are locally harvested hardwoods and softwoods native to the southern Appalachian mountains.
Black Walnut
Sweet Gum
Eastern Red Cedar
Eastern White Pine
Ambrosia Maple
The wood is scaled and priced by the standard measurement of wood volume / the bdft
Pricing varies by species and within any species the wider and longer pieces have a higher bdft value than the skinny short pieces
