Recently, I have been expanding my tool collection and learning ways to do different things. One example is the wedgie sled that I built. I have made 5 different sleds/jigs over the summer. They are a simple cross cut sled, spline cutting jig, mitering sled, and wedgie sled. They are all for my table saw and are as square as I can get them without having them specifically machined. The fifth jig is for my router. Essentially this jig allows me to use my router as a jointer. I have been able to take rough cut cherry from my father-in-law’s orchard and make it perfectly flat and ready to use in a project.
