I am a Nuclear Electrician (Submarines) Petty Officer First Class. I don't get to do as much wood working as i would like to, but i sure have fun doing it. I mostly enjoy figuring out new things. I don't pretend to know a lot about wood working. I do pride myself in figuring out how to make things work. Hopefully Lumberjocks will help me in future projects.

A friend of mine is working on a bed for his niece. He has been running into issues that I am going to share with the community. I want to give him some advice, but I want to make sure I am giving him the right advice. Below is the message that...
I will start with a little back story. At the end of September, I came into possession of two oak logs from a local tree service. The guys in the yard cut it up into sections for me so I could handle it myself. I then split each piece in half a...

Recently, I have been expanding my tool collection and learning ways to do different things. One example is the wedgie sled that I built. I have made 5 different sleds/jigs over the summer. They are a simple cross cut sled, spline cutting jig, ...
