11 posts in 1160 days Location: Ste-Marthe-sur-le-Lac, Quebec, Canada My first real contact with woodworking came out of necessity when I needed to build a desk with filing cabinets, drawing table and a computer. I've been improving my skills and knowledge ever since with different projects ranging from ribbon boxes to staircases, kitchen cabinets and household furniture in between. I must admit my past dayjobs have mostly been associated with things made of wood and its by-products so I have acquired a technical knowledge that I'm proud of. As far as building things, I start with a design that I convert into technical drawings with detailed dimensions and even operations sequence when the project is ambitious. -- Ah!
