Pre order pre sale review of the Bosch 1617 router : Well so far I am very happy with the idea of ordering the
Bosch 1617 router . I haven’t spent any money, so that is always a positive. Previewing the pre sale is going well . The Bosch is blue in color . That’s important . I bought a Bosch router table especially because it was blue
and would match the Bosch router . About two fifteen hands stallions and a small filly in horse power. Variable
speed , that adjusts to your moods ; if you are anxious and feeding it too fast or feeling a little depressed and feeding it too slow….....It senses your mood and makes the adjustment…....that’s just good psychology
engineered right into the product . I hope to post a lot of images when I do a post sale pre use un boxing buyer
packaging preview , followed by an actual post order post sale start up shake out fine tune preliminary initial use
review . Maybe next week .

How Not To Get Pissed Off At Others In The Forums :

Don’t read the ON-Topic stuff . That’s where all the political venting is . Fights over how square something is
can be brutal . If you want to debate geometry …....there will be blood . Disputes about measurement or the
finer points of hand plane restoration can get you ostracized from the sub-club . Giving advice ? Giving advice
about giving advice ? I hear about members leaving in a huff all the time about arguing points . It baffles me because I rarely read any of that stuff , and I can’t figure out why they got so upset . I’m just here for the
woodworking , when I want to read all that wordy word stuff, I just read a good tool review ~ Colonel Gem

Blue is always a good choice for tools but ,then it will clash with my table saw so yellow with pin strips did the trick ,it really is important to not have any clashing in the shop .

I agree , and one’s tools should be carefully staged and color coded when one posts them with their
project photos , this is what I am trying to improve upon in my woodworking . I am not opposed to over painting a harbor freight tool and paint a fake grizzly logo on it , or pin stripes , or anything that will make me
look less poor and more ’ with it ’ . Glad u made it back from the land of enchantment OK eddie . : )

I paint Central Pnuematic, or Chicago Electric on all my tools hoping no one wants to steal them.
I can’t let Lj’s into my shop though for fear they will want them. LOL

i have restored lots of older machines and mix white and black lacquer to get a blue grey or battle ship grey color or what many call delta grey and blue goes well with it i think. some times i sing the blues as i make a cut short and don’t have a board stretching machine and if i did have one it would be a blue grey color, don’t they paint prison cells that color? and if so why would i wan’t that color? now you have me baffled moment because i may need to rethink my tool colors.

I like omega gray with blues , it’s less ‘prisony’ and has more of a moonlight effect . I think you should laminate some zebra wood over a band saw housing , Blain . That would look sweet . Great project idea .

LOL, yeah I got a shop. (3200sq)

And a Shop Mortgage
And a Home Mortgage
2- Car Payments
2- Health Ins Payments
Credit Card Payments
Utility Payments
etc…etc…
etc..

I’m a one man shop, being the only income. (working on Easter!)
So as far as the Rich Bastard goes…
sheesh, now I’m depressed. I got to go sand some wood, bills are due.

I actually found some shop space for sale nearby , and the guy only wanted $ 250 for the shop and land . I would
have had to run my own electric from the tracks , and that would have cost five grand . It was so worth it ,but I
simply don’t have that kind of money right now . Sorry about calling you ’ rich ’ , now that I know of all your bills .
I have :

No Shop
No Shop mortgage
No house payment
No Rent payment
No car payment on my 14 year old car
No health insurance
No utility payments
No cable and internet payment
I pay $ 40 for a storage unit and $38 for car insurance monthly .
The rest of my money ( the part not stolen by my children )
has been going towards tools and lavish deserts …..like pineapple pie with whipped cream .
Holy crap , I just may be the rich bastard !

I like your new avatar and the painting in the op!

Yes colour is very important. My sander didn’t feel right till I painted the handle.
