Identify this wood - 40 replies
Hi, I pulled some wood out of a barn in S. Michigan and am trying to identify the wood in the pictures. It is straight grained, porous, light weight with a reddish-brown color. Looks kind of like Walnut except for the color and weight. My best guess is Butternut. Can anyone confirm this?
