My wife bought me a kit to build a mandolin last christmas. I have been working on it off and on since then. The top is spruce, and the back and sides are maple. The neck is maple and the headstock has a walnut overlay.

Wow…...this looks like alot of fun. There is an old man that lives almost an hour away that makes his mandolins, I intend on making a visit out to his shop…....I love this kind of work.
