How many of you have a spot carved out in your shop for your budding woodworkers?

It’s fun to watch the boy “work”, and even though things take twice as long when he “helps” I wouldn’t trade the time for anything.

That is better than my current set up. I’m in the process of rectifying that.

One of my daughters (more of an outdoors girl) loves to come keep me company, and “help”. I get what you mean about the process being slowed. Likewise, I understand how it is time well spent.

The spot you have created for your son is very nice indeed. We all have memories from childhood. Some are better than others. This will surely be among your son’s finest of childhood memories. Well done, Dad!

Just awesome. Love the linked story. I’m sure your son is very proud to be using Grandpa’s bench.

Thanks gang! He really enjoys being in the shop, and likes to sand things. Surely there is a way I can capitalize on that! :)
