Hey guys,

I’ve been a bit absent over the past month and shop time had been pretty scarce. It felt good to finally get back down there and do some work. I’m experienceing a new level of inspiration (a topic for another time) and so my time in the shop has taken on some new meaning.

I too find time spent in my garage workshop/mancave very relaxing. It’s amazing how I can spend 10 hours in the shop and not feel tired at all. Lately, I have been throwing a DVD in and working away. I have a good selection of woodworking, train (both real and toy), and other DVDs on hand. These type of DVDs provide a good background without being distracting. I spent most of the day yesterday making and doing the last bit of fitting required for the legs of a walnut coffee table that I am building for a friend.

I find it very rewarding and good for the soul.

I hear you Tim! It’s amazing how spending an entire day in the shop doesn’t drain you at all, but rather fills you. I wish I could do it more.

I’ve been listening to old Woodtalk Online episodes in the background.
