I’am headed out to the show this weekend. I’m actually going to try and get there twice. I have set my budget , and I’m pretty sure I know what I’m coming home with. Unfortunatly last year I set my budget and went way over. I went with the intention of buying my first Lie-nielsen. I accomplished that task early, and as i wandered around i noticed a lot of turning exhibitions. Two hours later, after much deliberation I purchased a lathe and a cheesy set of turning tools(which continue to be replaced). Hopefully this year I can show more restraint. I will be stopping at the LN booth, but I have a list of what i want/need. So Impulse buys should be at a minimum. Wish me luck!
Side note: Anyone getting started in turning please take this advice. Try to buy the best turning tools you can afford, it will save you headaches later, and a lot less trips to your grinder/stone.
Anyway, maybe I’ll run into some lumberjocks this weekend.
