I'm retired and live on Washington's Olympic Peninsula. I've been creating miniature copies of classic woodworking tools for 12 years, learning the basics of table-top machining in the process. Each of the miniature tools that I have produced are part of that education and are part of my personal collection. Most of my tools are copies from the Victorian period and are produced in 1/3 scale. I prefer to work with hard woods like ebony, boxwood and cocobolo, machining them with the same lathe and mills that are used on my brass and steel components. I have currently made 50 different miniatures using less than one board-foot of lumber in the process.
