Location: Riverton, Oregon
Website:

I was born 1926, and grew up on a farm bounded by a large forest and the Coquille River,Coos County Oregon,USA. A piece of land my Grandparents of Denmark, sailed their boat to and began carving out a farm in 1883. This is but 2 miles upstream of where I now have a home and studio.
*When I was about 10, I was presented with a fine wooden chest of hand tools - woodworking tools - along with a double bitted axe. All of these my Dad instructed me in their proper use. Dad was an Expert;
I just went on from there.

I’m with grizzman. You, sir, are truly a woodworker. Nothing but inspiration on your site. I’ll be watching for future project posts and have bookmarked your website. Great stuff!!!!! And welcome to LJ’s.

Welcome to Lumberjocks Philip. Your art is awesome and your background is rare. You were so fortunate to have a Dad to start you at such an early age. It’s encouraging to know some people can woodwork at your age (I was born in 1942). Thanks for sharing and for joining ou group.
