I love this bit, have owned for about a year now and used on several projects. At $22 Canadian I figure I have saved $60 or $70 on buying t-track for my jigs. The bit will cut a slot full depth straight off but I find it best to hog out most of the waste with a 1/4 or 5/16 bit first and then cut the slot. Tend to leave some furry bits on the top of the slot… easily cleaned up with a few strokes with some sand paper. Living way out in the country it also means I can have t-track anytime...

I don’t do a lot of reviews, reserving my efforts for those items I feel work extraordinarily well, or might be of particular interest. Scrapers may not sound all that exciting, but I find that I keep mine close on the bench at all times and use it on just about every project. I bought the David Barron Dovetail Guide last summer when I ordered a couple other things from David. I played with the guide and watched David's YouTube video on how to use it. So then I figured I was ready to cut some dovetails! I tried it out to get the hang of it on some scrap and then moved right into cutting the dovetails on my Tommy Mac Tool Chest.
