« Part 2: Construction2 Part 3 of Garden Bench series no next part

Well I have finally finished my garden bench. Cant wait to start my next project. I am in desperate need of a workbench and I am thinking of building a Roubo using benchcrafted vices. Please enjoy the pics.

used some brass hinges as decoration. Bought the hinges from woodworkingparts.com very cheap.

That is quite handsome for a garden bench. When I saw the title of your post, I was expecting something made of treated pine. What is the wood and finish you used?

Would of been better to use treated pine, however I am stocked with alot of recycled wood at home. I think a bit of oak and some pine was used not very sure. I used a rosewood stain and then sealed it with a marine grade varnish. I have done this before and I have noticed it starts to flake after a couple of years. With outdoor furniture it is better to use an outdoor oil only. I did it this way cause I used different sorts of wood and it would not of looked nice. Thank’s for the complement.
