Cutting new species of Wood

Over the past few months I have been looking around for some other species of wood to add to what I have stock piled. I came across arizona white oak and a mystery wood that I found at a firewood dealer. Most likely the mystery wood is an ornamental tree planted by a home owner, I don’t think it is native. Both woods are really cool. The mystery wood looks just like hawaiian koa which I admit have paid crazy amounts of money for in the past. I know we have a few species of acacia in arizona, so I am guessing it is one of those. I posted a few pics of the wood. It is always fun opening up a new log and seeing what is inside.

I think you posted this in the wrong place. This should be in the buy and sell place. then you put a price on it and i send you $!!! Nice wood- both of them. I could hang it on my wall and just look at it. Until I cut it up and made a box.

-- Robert, so much inspiration here, and now time to work!!!
