Kreg R3 pocket drill bit

I was using a Kreg R3 pocket jig while building a shelf when the bit stopped drilling into the wood. Reyes it out on some pieces of scrap wood still nothing. Is it the bit? The Jig? Any help would be great.

Will it not drill deep enough or nothing at all? Is it bottomed out in the jig fixture? Will the bit drill into a piece of wood without putting it into the jig (like drilling a regular hole?)

Possibly a flat battery in your drill, that will do it.
