Honey locust bench. #3: First epoxy glaze coat.

So Saturday afternoon once I had gotten home from work I decided to go ahead and put my first glaze coat on my bench top/seat. I didn’t measure the approximate square footage of my piece and just guessed at how much epoxy to mix up. I did 6oz of Famowood Glaze coat, and poured it along my surface. Using a bondo spatula that I modified to have a corrugated edge, I was able to spread the epoxy out without pushing too much around at once. The teeth of the spatula I made really helped in doing so. For my first time using an epoxy top coat, it didn’t turn out too terrible. I had some low spots and spots that seemed to just suck up the epoxy, so a second coat was needed....
