Part 1: Starting up

Over the years, I ahve had many tools, from woodworking items to things for non-woodworking – genereally to fix stuff around the house and etc…. My shop is rather small, in the garage, and I have 1 electrical plugin. I am in the process of building a workbench, but that got put on hold while I built a nightstand for my Father-in-law. I have a new Ryobi Table Saw, which I bought after the little one I had had the rip fnce break on me. I am now trying to sell the old one but...

Part 2: Workbench

As I think I have mentioned in previous posts, my workbench is on hold until I get another project completed – since I have not worked in the shop for a month, I think it will take a while. Anyway, I am thinking about my workbench. It will have a top made from a heavy solid core door from a college. My father-in-law gave it to me. Part 3: The last few months

I just wanted to update the blog. For the past few months, I have had EVERYTHING on hold. I found out more about the problems I have had with my knees. I ahve degenerative Arthritis in my knees. This has caused the cartlidge in the inner portions of my knees to disinegrate. I ahve no cartlidge left in my knees – the inner portions anyway. I finally went to a decent Dr for my knees. He listened to me, and shared with me really what was going on and how it could be helped. I am...

Part 4: New shop

Nope, I still have not built my shop (or workbench). It all was on hold because I needed to build a nightstand for my fatehr-in-law. Now that has changed (see my other blog entry). When I get back into my shop, I plan to continue to build my shop, the tool storage and all those things. However, even my plans for those things has changed. I now need to be thinking about how I can put my shop in, and 2 cars—in my 2 car garage. My wife made me a deal. My knees are bad. I need...
