« Part 3: The last few months Part 4 of Shop series no next part

Nope, I still have not built my shop (or workbench). It all was on hold because I needed to build a nightstand for my fatehr-in-law. Now that has changed (see my other blog entry).

When I get back into my shop, I plan to continue to build my shop, the tool storage and all those things. However, even my plans for those things has changed. I now need to be thinking about how I can put my shop in, and 2 cars—in my 2 car garage.

My wife made me a deal. My knees are bad. I need to loose 200 pounds.

When I lose 100, she wants me to take her to a B&B for a weekend, just to get away for a bit. A reward for getting that far. Sounds like she is conning me into giving her the reward – maybe, but she still puts up with me thru the process.

When I get off the 200 pounds, ( and we have paid off our newest vehicle), she will let me trade her car in ( a Toyota), she will then start driving my SUV – Saturn Vue, and I get to buy a new truck. I have it all picked out, I just have to lose the weight and pay off the Vue.

I thnk that is really fair trade. What do you think?

Anyway, since we will then have 2 newer vehicles, we won’t want either to get hail damage, so I want to re-do the garage so that I will have 2 garage door openers (we have 2 doors) and I will build the bench and everything so that I will be able to pull both cars in the garage. I will have to do some thinking and planning for this. Not to mention, I will need to consolidate the junk we have stored in there.
