sanding problems - 6 replies I have resently started making bowls on the lathe and I found that they need a lot f sanding so I ordered a ten pound box of mixed sandpaper. When it came in and i tried it out that some of it is absolute junk. And I was wondering why that was its aluminum oxide paper why is it so terrible? Also what kind of paper do you use? |

sharpening - 10 replies So I gust got a new lathe for christmas its a shopfox mini lathe and ive done a couple of small things on it but I have now encontered a very big problem. They need sharpening and I dont have a grinder. Any suggestions? im buying a grinder tommorow. But what about jigs? What grit wheels should I use? Any advise would be greatly appretiated. |
