Well I am a self taught woodworker. The only woodworking education came from Jr High, and High School. I am an avid watcher of anything about woodworking on tv (Woodworks, New Yankee, Woodwright Shop, Woodsmith Shop, The American Woodshop). I began my woodworking hobby with a trip to Guitar Center, where I sold my Fender Strat, and bought me a Delta Contractor saw. From there I purchased a Delta 13" planer, then a 8" Grizzly Jointer, then added a router table to my tablesaw. I currently own 2 bandsaws (one for resawing, and one for contour cutting). My Jet 14" is used for resawing, and my Grizzly 14" for contour cutting. I just recently had to tool up for my opportunity to build a Bonnet Top Highboy with the New Yankee plan, and that allowed me to acquire a Leigh D4R dovetail jig. I also have a Jet oscillating drum sander, and just recently acquired a Jet 16-32 drum sander. I think I am through buying machines!! Now on to buying lumber!! I currently work in the cooler months in my 2 car garage. I can't express how much I love woodworking, and all of my friends, and family just love my efforts. It feels really great to have finally found my passion!!

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.

God Bless

You certainly came in with a bang. Great wood working. They say watching to much tv will distroy one’s mind. LOL. Not in your case. The projects you have done are inspiring. Hope to see some tutorials and such from you in the near future. Welcome to Lj’s.
