Wow…time flies when you are having fun…just got back from a quick trip to grandma’s and bam my e-mail is stuffed with projects from my good friends here at LJ’s…
So…trying to catch up I realized—-1,007 days on LJ’s…pretty crazy…I remember when I joined…heard about it in PW…came on as a “new” wood worker…and have never left…although the last couple of months I have been less active…
I can tell you…as a newer woodworker—-I may have not stuck with Woodworking…I enjoyed woodworking a lot in middle school nearly 30 years ago…and picked it up again…but it is LJ’s…the good people and advice and friendliness that has pushed me to learn and share my own work…
SO thank you…as I continue to learn…for being there…as many of you have!
I think of LJ’s when I am fixing things—-changing a car battery——hAS NOTHING TO DO WITH WOODWORKING…but silly things like that I would never do until I started developing my problem solving skills…
This weekend…my mom’s kitchen sink cabinet needed some work (she is 75 and on her own) and so I bought some new wood…did some demo under her sink and build up a new base under her sink…this would have never happened…
Ok…so LJ’s is not just woodworking to me…its problem solving…thinking…lots of thinking….friends…sharing…so much…
Thanks LJ’s…and HECK—-WOULD I BE EVEN TALKING ABOUT BUILDING A BOAT without all of you???
Crazy…thanks all…
Matt

Hi Matt;
This is about the only place where I can at least sound like I know what I’m talking about!
That’s why I keep coming back.

If you can’t dazzle them with brilliance… baffle them with bull sh*t… lol
I think that a lot of LJers are now thinking outside the box… and not just about woodwork..
Heres to Many thousands More…

Hey man, it has been a real pleasure to know ya. I just hit 1000 posts, I’ll have to wait a bit for 1000 days.
I always get such a kick out of that devilish grin on your avatar. So tell me, are you picking your teeth, or is that the size of the fish that you just caught?
Congrats,
Steve
