What are your favorite WW Books? Especially stories/philosophy---not just skills...
Well I just researched via “tags” the book forums and there are a few on LJ’s…but they are mostly regarding skills books—-which makes sense for wood workers… But recently I have been dreaming of building a bo...

Nice to have another 30 something,... even if you’re from the other side of the states – Perfect place to be though!

Hi Matt, Been a few days since I could wrestle the computer away from the boy. Been in Chico since 1982 and somehow never left. Must be the smell of hops or something. Now my wheels are ticking about a way to encorporate the nectar into a wood working project. Hmmmmmmmmmmm . . .

Thanks for the kudos on my deck. It is built on pier blocks. Most of my info was from Handy magazine and this website. http://www.deckplans.com/plans/index.cfm I’ve just posted updated photos of the lattice & the climbing clematis we just planted this last weekend. It’ll look nice this summer…

Thanks for the warm welcome! Here’s hoping that you and your family have a great summer. I loved having both of my parents (both teachers) home during the summer when I was growing up.

Thanks for the complement. Plugging the holes is well worth the trouble, but it is trouble. It does get a lot easier everytime. I have many templates and tricks to make the job easier. I guess it was about the 20th chair that I got smart and got everything more organized.

Checking your site, great projects. Hope you can incorporate some of my wall design into your new deck. I’d be honored.

I just wasn’t confident with my techniques in turning. I did a lot of learning as I made the lamp.

Hi there Napaman, Thanks for stopping by my page. I love your work. When I get more into my turning I will be looking you up. The native American woman is 12in tall. It is leaning back on a stand so it looks a bit smaller. It can be made larger but that was the size to customer needed.
The Drama masks are made of mahogany.
Keep in touch!

Hey, I don’t think I’m gonna make it out to Sacramento for that Northern CA jocks meetup in November, but we should try to organize something North-Bay-ish! (Not that woodworking in Sonoma doesn’t already have quite a bit of cool events…)

Hi Napaman, your work is really good. As for the yellow chair back angle I’ve used 25 degrees on other chairs and it seemed to work great for this design as well.
