i have been making Marquetry pictures for over 25 years and am mostly self taught, help from a master cabinetmaker from England. I have recently retired from the Canadian Navy and have my own shop in my basement. i have over 40 different species of veneer, some i bought back when i started. i like to make portraits, landscapes and birds and flowers, especially on the top of jewellry boxes.
