Tomorrow is the day. Counting down the hours. One way or another I will be moved back into the garage. I will try posting pics and might be asking for some advice on placing tools. Got a quick question now, where can I find some cheap but good floor matting?

Well, I had it all set up. Last Monday my wife and two kids were going to be in school and I would have the house to myself from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Then life happened. My four year old daughter started running a fever. 101 degrees to be exact. So we relaxed all day watched a couple of movies. She is feeling better now and returned to school today. So, Friday is the big day (again) I am moving the workshop from the 10’ x 12’ shed out back to the garage. My wife will be home but it’s all good. Maybe she can carry a tool or two.

I've been thinking......

Have you ever been sitting around with nothing to do and your mind starts to drift? My daughter, she is 4, just started preschool. A couple of the kids in the class have peanut and tree nut allergies. Because of this the classroom is a peanut and tree nut free environment. I was thinking about this the another day and was wondering, if you have an allergy to any type of tree nut, can you own furniture made of (lets say) walnut? If you are allergic to walnuts there has to be something in the tree that is harmful to. I was just wondering.

I repeat, Sketchup is AWESOME!!!!!!

Wednesday night I opened Sketchup I had downloaded along time ago. I forgot how awsome this program is. I made a vow to myself that I am going to learn this program inside and out. I still can not believe it is free. I am happy to spread the word on how easy this program is. When I opened it up Wednesday, my plans were to just mess around alittle. But when I was finished, (an hour later) I had a 3D model of the display stand I plan to build for the Artistry in Wood show in November. Once again I repeat, Sketchup is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On the move!

Well, I’m on the move again. I’ve decided to move my workshop back to the garage. After a long time thinking about it (and about a weeks worth of cleaning) I’m going to make the move. This came about, when I went to “the shop” and found that my scrollsaw had a nice layer of rust on the table. Instead of trying to find the money to insulate the shed, I would just move to a place that is already insulated and heated and cooled.
