Well, my 11 year old son bought his first benchtop tool. We went in 1/2 and 1/2, he bought a used Craftman 16” scrollsaw at an auction we went to. It cost $17.50. He can’t wait to start his first project.

I can’t wait to see his first project. I’m a scrolling addict. The scroll saw is a perfect tool for young ones to start on.

Be sure to have him take Sheila’s (Scrollgirl) course in scroll sawing. He will learn a lot that would be good for him as a beginner. Good for you for supporting him in this.
