Sooo… this happened this weekend:

Hopefully I can get the Dust Collector assembled soon. I’m already planning a trashcan separator. :D

Then, in a stunning turn of fortune, this ALSO happened:

BD

It’s a older generic 14” bandsaw. it needs some TLC, but it works and I only paid… wait for it,,, $25.00 for it. I’m still stunned I got it. Usually I’m the guy where the guy in front of me gets the thing and I JUST miss.
Looking forward to cutting some things!

Congrats on the new toys, ummm, I mean tools. I have the same dust collector, and it does a great job. I splurged on a Super Dust Deputy for mine, and am extremely pleased with the results. I like your signature quote and am happy that good things are coming your way!

Thanks! I’m now trying to fill my brain with all the things I need to do to make sure the bandsaw does the best job it can. Lots to learn!

There seems to be LOTS of different ways to align / Set up / tune a bandsaw. Any input on best practices?

Also, the one I got did not have a blade guard. Any input on making one?
