Wooden Bar stool Help

To anyone who might be able to help me, I am a new wood worker, and for my first project I have agreed to help a friend of the family shorten the legs on a set of round wooden bar stools for some kids. I have run in to trouble with getting the feet to seat properly. I can’t seem to get the angle on the legs right? Any ideas or constructive critizisem is welcome. lumber man leonard
