Hello!
I am a technology professional in beautiful upstate NY. My hobby of home improvements has started to morph into woodworking over the last few years as I have aquired additional tools, learned new techniques and began to look at the amazing projects our fellow lumberjocks are creating.

While growing up in the woods, my father was into woodworking and at one point had a 3K bd. ft. kiln in our garage and sawmill out back. He still keeps a choice selection of exotic hardwoods in his basement that he's been slowly feeding me as my skills improve.

My "shop" is currently confined to our two-car garage, and most of my equipment is on movable and collapsible stands (so the wife can still park in there...). We also have a little guy who turns one in january, so my shop time is fairly limited these days (not to mention its about 30 degrees out there) but I get out there any chance I can to make some sawdust.

I must admit, I've been browsing the lumberjocks site for many months now, viewing countless projects, blogs and tool reviews. This really is an amazing community and I finally decided it was time to play a more active part. I have learned a lot already from all the lumberjocks and look forward to learning more, as well as giving back to the community!

Jason

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.

God Bless
tom
