i am having all sorts of problems making a lamination that will stand up to the lathe without going kablooey! using various hardwoods, glued to metal such as pop cans or copper sheeting, making certain that the surfaces are roughed up, but still…, not a very high rate of success. i want to laminate two sizes, the first 3/4 by 3/4 for pen b...

sometimes when i read “how to’s” on various sites, and the author is using ca glue, he then says”give it a shot of stabilizer” to quickly (almost instantly, i think) cure the glue so that the project can continue. exactly what IS stabilizer?
