no previous part Part 1 of wood scores series no next part

We recently moved to this new house we are renting and I just
found out yesterday there is a window shutter company right
by my house. They build Shutters out of all kinds of wood.
Well I sent them an email today and they responded they have
a sale on the first Thursday of every month selling their scraps by
the bundle! So May 6th I may have to escape work early and check out
this sale.
So those of you who are new to where you live its good to go check things
out locally and who knows you may find free wood and scraps right under your nose!!!

very good idea, most of my wood comes from pallets at my job right now. I found some good wood like alot of oak, poplar, sycamore, some other stuff that looks like cherry and one other i still don’t know what it is.

Mystery wood! hahahahaha!
I do the same thing they throw away pallets where I
work! I’ve built cabinets fences window sills etc.
from pallets!!!!!
Also dont be afraid to go to a cabinet shop and ask for
scraps!!!!! Sometimes it pays off! If anything you will
make a good friend out of it!

I can’t wait to see what you get. Part of me thinks you will find some good stuff, part of me thinks that shutters can have some pretty small pieces and that any scraps will likely be tiny. I hope you get some goodies! Please report back!

For me small pieces are good being how I make more crafty
and small gift style things!
The bad thing is I’m like a kid waiting for Christmas!
Its killing me waiting to see what the sale is going to be like!

Hey neighbor let me know what they get for a bundle I drive by there all the time going to work. The jocks are getting closer to me all the time.
