Hello everybody. I appreciate such a warm welcome. The way that I found this site was that I was looking for the wine barrel chair, and I could not find it anywhere but here. So … since I live in the wine country in Calistoga, California I decided that I am going to try to make one myself. Now mind you that I do not know much about woodworking and I do have few tools, I would love to make this my first project ever. I always wanted to try woodworking so it is better later then never. I would like the person that did that one to contact me and give me some clues on how to go about this project. The posting was by wine woodworker or something to that effect. If you know who did it please respond and let me know. I would be forever grateful if I could do this one thing on my own. My business is vacation rentals in Maui and I live there part time too. So please write to me if you know about this adronack wood barrel chair.

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.
God Bless

If that’s the worst of it then I am not going to worry. It looks to me that all the members are very nice and supportive of each other. Don’t we wish that the whole world was that way too. If we can do it here with total strangers then why is it impossible otherwise?
I am looking forward to doing my first project, which is going to be a wine barrel chair that I saw here . i live in Napa Valley California where the barrels are plentiful and I saw one in the store yesterday and I fell in love with one of those chairs. unfortunately they are super expensive, so right there and then I decided to make one myself. I am determined to figure out how to do it with the help of this site. So that’s my story.
Thank you for the words of encouragement i am glad to be part of such a nice group of people.
Sincerely
luba
