Bench made from large thick Juniper Slab

Made a bench for outside with a very large very thick piece of juniper pine slab. I put tons of coats of two part bar top epoxy, hopefully that will make it pretty bullet proof for being outside/under patio, suppose it might warp and crack a bit over the years but it should still look okay and matches our rustic backyard well. That self leveling bar top wasn’t very self leveling, really took a lot of work to get it right, but it still has some low spots an bubbles, but good enough for sitting on.

So I made aggravation game boards for my kids and sisters kids this Christmas. This was the final one, the others I gave away… practiced on everyone else’s board so I worked out all the kinks by the time I got to the final board, so this one is perfectly flat works great. I used a template I made out of 1/2 plywood and used Rockler marble hole drill bit.

Flip top table for Planer and Miter saw

Found this idea on the net and decided to make one yesterday since that damn planer is so heavy. These are both two big time dust makers in the shop so now with the rolling wheels I can pick the right tool flip the top then roll it outside to plane and cut the wood. Luckily I live in Phoenix so it’s easy to work outside all year around. I added a shelf soon to be drawer to hold extra pieces parts and blades plus gave it a bit more beef to keep it from racking. i also made a solid 2×4 square frame for the bottom. Might make another one for some sanders, grinders, etc.
