I’m sorry if my bad mood is contagious but I’m really mad at Grizzly right now.
On April 10th, I’ve ordered a band saw since they are offering the free shipping deal, I’ve selected the G0513X2.
Two days later, after a call to find out the status of my order, I found out that the saw was on back order until “approximately, May 18th”.
I said to myself, ok they build it in China and then they ship it, in order to minimize the cost, they have low prioirty on the shipment, bottom line I bite the bullet and waited…Until today where I found that this item is in back order until…June 12th…perhaps !
The lady at the customer service could not confirm that the saw will show up in June.
So I was ruminating the all day, checked their web site and checked if I could buy a saw that was available. After another call to the customer service, I’ve found out that the two band saws that are available are the ones that does not carry the free shipping promotion.
I’ve asked if they would waive the shipping costs if I would buy a more expensive model (that does not have this promotion right no) but the gentleman on the phone said it was not possible.
So thank you very much Grizzly for your “deal” but I found it useless in my case.
Now I’m back online to find an alternative.
Bottom line : if you plan to buy a grizzly machine right now, don’t make the same mistake I did : call them to find out the availability of the machine instead of ordering online…
EDIT : they delivered the Bandsaw on May 28th, basically 2 weeks before their last commitments. Thanks Grizzly !
