This is a straight line cutting jig for the table saw I created. I took several ideas from a couple different places and came up with my own design.

I was commisioned to make a shadow box. It turned out alright. It is the latest project I have completed.

A few years back I was given my grandfather’s Lathe. It is a craftsman and probably 50 years old. I have always been interested in wood working and this was my “Gateway Drug.” I never have had too much patients with projects, always in a hurry to see them completed only to be disappointed when they turn out like crap.
The lathe bridged the gap of satisfaction in progress vs. time spent. As my skill grew I had to slow down to do projects like these bowls.

I am self taught wood turner, TV, magazines, internet and lots of trial and error have been my classroom. These series of bowls were my Christmas gift to family members that year. My personal favorite one I think is the cherry and walnut striped one in the center.

Got some wood from my Uncle. The deal was, a bunch of wood for a turned project. I think it turned out alright nice lidded bowl.
